Position Overview: The Senior Business Analyst and Project Manager will collaborate closely with clients to gather requirements, assess use cases, and design technical solutions that facilitate the implementation of the Beacon Platform. This role involves working alongside Sales and Account Managers, Client Engineers, Solution Architects, Client and Prospect Developers, and End Users to define, plan, lead, and execute client-facing Proof of Concept and Implementation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather requirements from business stakeholders, quants, and engineers, both client-facing and internally, including organizing workshops and in-depth sessions.
  • Evaluate technical use cases and conduct gap analysis to identify necessary changes.
  • Create workflow diagrams and develop as-is and to-be specifications.
  • Convert business requirements into technical solutions, considering both business and architectural viewpoints.
  • Document system and functional specifications for engineering teams and client engagements.
  • Oversee the complete project lifecycle, including project definition, scope, resource planning, business analysis, technical design, development, testing, training, and project closure.
  • Communicate effectively across various channels and levels within Beacon and client organizations to ensure clear status reporting, change management, and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate and proactively manage internal team activities related to projects.
  • Mitigate Project Risks through collaborative problem-solving and removal of obstacles.
  • Contribute to Beacon's Project Management organization by sharing best practices and enhancing client management.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 5-10 years of experience in PM/BA roles delivering pricing, risk, analytics, or development platform solutions.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets and workflows.
  • Exceptional listening and engagement skills to effectively gather requirements and design future states.
  • Proven track record in business analysis and designing technical solutions for PaaS/SaaS environments.
  • Ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences effectively.
  • Experience managing full lifecycle projects for client-facing initiatives lasting 6 months or more.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Collaborative team player with adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Positive demeanor with a history of building relationships with clients and team members.
  • Proactive approach and capability to work independently in a dynamic setting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
  • Project Management Certification: PMP, Prince 2.
  • Experience as a Technical Business Analyst, Quality Engineer, or Developer.
  • Familiarity with SecDB, Athena, or Quartz.
Compensation: Expected salary range is $150,000 - $185,000.
