Medical Care Specialist

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide medical care to PSP Cadets and Liquor Control Enforcement Officer Trainees at the Academy. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of State Police Medical Officers and administrative supervision of an enlisted member.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide acute and primary medical care to PSP Cadets/Liquor Enforcement Officer Trainees
Assist and serve as backup to the Full-time Registered Nurse
Maintain medical supplies and monitor inventory in the medical unit
Manage immunization programs required by the Pennsylvania State Police
Requirements:
Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
Possession of a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certificate
Ability to perform essential job functions
Additional Information:
The position is part-time, approximately 2 days per week. The successful candidate will be required to be flexible to cover the medical office during Full-time Registered Nurse's scheduled vacation days, medical/psychological processing days, and other events and activities that require additional medical personnel.
