Job Summary

As a Nutrition Operator with Morrison Healthcare, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional needs of patients are met. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Secure patient meal selections and special requests via telephone or face-to-face interactions.
  • Offer alternatives to menu items as allowed on prescribed diets, taking into account food allergies, sensitivities, cultural, ethnic, and religious preferences.
  • Respond promptly to patient needs, resolving concerns or complaints immediately and reporting necessary assistance to supervisors as needed.
  • Comply with dietary restrictions on special, modified diets to ensure optimal food preferences are met within guidelines of diet order limitations.
  • Interact with nursing staff to ensure patients' diet prescriptions are accurate and their food needs are met.
  • Adhere to facility confidentiality and patient rights policies as outlined in the facility's HIPAA policies and procedures.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
  • Follow HACCP guidelines when assembling and distributing food supplies to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
  • Complete all daily, weekly, or monthly reports as outlined in corporate policies and procedures on a timely basis, meeting all prescribed deadlines.
