About the Role

JobTrain's Child Development Center is seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Teacher or Lead Educator to join our team. As a key member of our childcare team, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children to learn and grow.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the California Preschool Curriculum Framework standards.
  • Provide individualized attention and support to children, promoting their social-emotional, language, and motor skills development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a cohesive and effective classroom environment.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and guardians through regular progress updates and conferences.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's progress and development.
Requirements
  • At least 12 semester units of Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Child Development, including the 4 core classes.
  • A current and valid Child Development Associate (CDA) credential with the appropriate age-level endorsement.
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification.
  • Current Mandated Reporter certification.
  • Proof of COVID vaccination.
  • Proof of negative TB test within the past 12 months.
  • Proof of annual Food Safety Training.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in a licensed childcare center or comparable group childcare program.
  • Minimum 24 ECE units required.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus, but not required.
