As a Professional Restoration Technician, you deliver a range of repair and recovery services when subcontractors are not an option, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship on projects for First Onsite clients. Your role encompasses administrative responsibilities such as compiling daily field reports, managing crew sheets, and tracking project expenses, alongside the physical tasks necessary to complete assignments—ranging from painting and drywall installation to applying finishes both inside and outside structures.
You are a vital contributor on construction and demolition sites, and may also engage in mitigation efforts, including water extraction, mold remediation, emergency board-ups, or roof tarping. Your responsibilities include loading and unloading materials, machinery, and tools, as well as maintaining cleanliness and preparation of work areas, all while prioritizing safety and adhering to Environmental, Health, and Safety standards.
Your willingness to assist the team whenever needed is crucial, as you are available for travel and emergency calls during off-hours, weekends, and holidays. You strive to provide a positive experience for clients during challenging times, reinforcing the notion that First Onsite is their trusted partner in restoration. Your dedication to your work is evident, and you take pride in being part of a team that fosters your professional growth and development.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum requirements include:
- Basic computer proficiency - MS Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook
- Fundamental ability to operate industry-specific tools and equipment
- Intermediate communication skills with coworkers, supervisors, and clients
- Possession of a basic set of tools is necessary
- Ability to obtain a Water Mitigation Certificate within one year
- A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred
- A valid driver's license is required
SPECIAL POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, service-oriented team environment under pressure to meet deadlines and manage competing priorities
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and respond to emergencies 24/7
- Potential exposure to hazardous environments and conditions at disaster sites; travel may be necessary
