About the Position:
We are seeking a highly qualified Medical Laboratory Science Lecturer to join our team at InsideHigherEd. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for teaching and mentoring students in the field of medical laboratory science.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach medical laboratory science courses to undergraduate students
- Develop and implement curriculum to meet the needs of our students
- Mentor and advise students in their academic and professional pursuits
- Stay current with industry developments and advancements in medical laboratory science
- Contribute to the development of our program and department
Requirements:
- Master's degree in medical laboratory science or a related field by August 1, 2025
- National certification as a clinical laboratory professional
- Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience in a clinical or traditional education setting
- Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives
- Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or doctorate degree in medical laboratory science, chemistry, biology, or other biological sciences
- Specialty certification in medical laboratory science in microbiology, immunology, hematology, chemistry, or blood banking
- 3 or more years of teaching experience
- Proficiency with design and instruction for online courses
