About the Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lecturer in Computer Science to join our department at Georgia Southern University. As a Lecturer, you will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, developing curriculum, and providing service to the department and university.

Responsibilities
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Computer Science, including introductory and advanced courses
  • Develop and implement curriculum for Computer Science programs
  • Provide service to the department, university, and professional committees and communities
Requirements
  • Earned Master of Science in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or closely related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Computer Science or Software Engineering
  • Demonstrated promise of excellence in teaching
  • Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives
  • Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Computer Science or related field
  • Experience in teaching and curriculum development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
