Mesa Associates, Inc. is in search of a Project Manager (remote/client site) who possesses the following qualifications:

  • Experience in electric utility operations is essential.
  • Capability to oversee a diverse range of supervisory duties for Engineers and Project Managers involved in the design phase of utility projects of varying scales.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
  • Ability to collaborate and engage with clients, vendors, engineers, colleagues, and other personnel in the electric utility sector.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster relationships and work effectively with clients, peers, and affiliates.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, scheduling software, and familiar with corporate accounting practices and business operations.
  • Willingness to develop, promote, and adhere to Mesa's safety protocols.
  • Adept at understanding and implementing new processes and procedures related to Project Management of Engineering (Project Engineering).
  • Familiarity with the Project Management Institute (PMI) standards, including those for Organizational Project Management (OPM).

General Responsibilities:

  • Operates under the guidance of a Program Manager or other Senior Management (e.g., Director, Vice President).
  • Maintains effective communication with client stakeholders, ensuring they are informed of any issues that may impact project execution across various management areas and phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinates and communicates with peers, effectively integrating and collaborating within a team environment.

Project Delivery Responsibilities:

  • Manages and coordinates multiple simultaneous project efforts and business initiatives in a structured manner.
  • Focuses on the tasks at hand while maintaining a clear vision and direction towards achieving stated objectives.
  • Provides management and leadership support to an existing team, leveraging project engineering knowledge and execution success to meet strategic goals.

Location Requirements:

The ideal candidate will work a Hybrid/remote schedule and must be within a reasonable distance from the designated operational area.
