Overview

The Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Scientist is a vital member of the provider care team, utilizing technical and scientific knowledge to aid in diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of patient conditions. This role is responsible for accurate, precise, and timely performance of laboratory tests, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining the quality of a World Class Laboratory.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and report test results
  • Perform laboratory tests with precision and accuracy
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Provide excellent customer service skills in line with Mercy Signature Service
Qualifications

Certifications: MLT certification OR Bachelors degree, in a major that meets a certification agency's requirements OR Completion of a 50 week U.S. military medical laboratory training course

Preferred Experience: 3 years acceptable clinical laboratory experience
