Job Summary

DMC Sinai-Grace Hospital is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team. As a diagnostic imaging specialist, you will be responsible for performing MRI exams and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient identity and review medical records for exam appropriateness
  • Interview patients to obtain medical history and assess risk factors
  • Explain procedures to patients, including risks and benefits
  • Set up equipment and acquire images as per script
  • Review images, make initial observations, and document exceptions
  • Recognize and respond to medical emergencies
  • Provide post-care instructions to patients
  • Participate in process improvement activities
  • Provide imaging education to residents and new employees
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology (R) or Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)
  • Required to have or successfully complete American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support – Healthcare Provider (BLS) training
  • One or more years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology (R) or advanced certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR)

Skills Required:

  • Analytical and clinical skills necessary to determine the most age-appropriate method of providing radiographs
  • Interpersonal and communication skills necessary to deal effectively with patients
  • Technical knowledge necessary to operate equipment
  • Ability to work productively and effectively within a complex environment
  • Knowledge and understanding of American College of Radiology requirements for accreditation
