Medical Assistant

Salary: $60,000 per year
This position requires a qualified individual to provide clinical support in a fast-paced environment.
Job DescriptionThe ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various clinical, technical, service, and administrative tasks. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing EKGs, lab testing, PFT, and audiometry as ordered by the physician
- Admitting patients to the exam room, taking vital signs, medical history, medication history, allergy history, height, and weight as indicated
- Conducting quality control procedures and adhering to CLIA regulations for laboratory tasks
- Documenting patient care, including treatment, telephone contacts, and completed daily checks (e.g., oxygen levels, emergency box)
In addition to clinical responsibilities, the successful candidate will also perform administrative tasks such as:
- Ensuring patient referrals are completed and forwarded appropriately
- Maintaining examination rooms and medical areas in a clean and orderly condition
- Stocking examination rooms with supplies and handling inventory, including checking supplies from vendors against packing slips
