Amergis seeks highly motivated and compassionate individuals to fill the position of Direct Support Professional. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with individuals with intellectual disabilities or mental health challenges, providing them with the necessary support to develop their interpersonal skills and ADLs.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Train and assist assigned individuals in developing their Interpersonal skills and ADLs in accordance with their support plans.
  • Communicate effectively with Team Leaders, Program Coordinators, or Directors regarding any changes in status.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided per company policies and procedures.
  • Attend multi-disciplinary team conferences and in-services as requested.
  • Offer therapeutic support in daily activities.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned or necessary.

Your responsibilities may also include accompanying residents to scheduled activities, participating in revising individual services plans, and assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers of residents. Additionally, you will help residents with routine household chores and other ADLS to promote independence.

About the Opportunity

This role offers a competitive salary range of $35,000 - $45,000 annually, depending on location and experience. The successful candidate will also receive comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as a 401(k) savings plan.

Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements.
  • Effective communication and computer skills required.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
