Job Summary

The Senior Supplier Quality Engineer will play a critical role in supporting suppliers and supply management in delivering high-quality parts to all locations of Lockheed Martin. This position requires a senior individual contributor to be the subject matter expert within Supplier Quality and take ownership of issues, leading and guiding small teams across multiple disciplines. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting suppliers, identifying and implementing process improvements, and ensuring compliance with AS9100 and AS9102 requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with product center/area production QMs and QEs to resolve supplier RCCA and identify continuous improvement opportunities
  • Lead collaborative SQA efforts and provide technical liaison support
  • Monitor assigned supplier performance using metrics and participate in supplier failure diagnostic investigations
  • Develop and manage supplier transition plans and report out to management and customers on root cause and corrective actions
  • Support production readiness reviews, risk-based supplier assessments, and supplier enhanced audits

Requirements

  • Prior Quality Engineer experience
  • Prior experience working in aerospace/rotorcraft environment
  • Prior use of root cause corrective action tools
