About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Substation Engineer to join our team at AtkinsRéalis. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electrical systems for medium and high voltage substations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and review electrical design packages for substations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and codes.
- Lead the design of substation physical electrical systems, including site and equipment layouts, elevations, buswork, ground grids, and material lists.
- Perform design studies and demonstrate a good working knowledge of physical electrical substation design.
- Coordinate design activities to maintain project schedules, budget, and quality requirements.
- Assist in site visits, station walkdowns, estimating, and attending project meetings.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- Minimum of ten (10) years of professional experience focused on substation engineering for Senior positions, or five (5) years for Intermediate positions.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration preferred for all positions, required for Senior positions.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD.
- Prior utility consulting experience is a plus.
