Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Owensboro Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality imaging services to patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Positioning and Imaging: Accurately position patients and select exposure factors to ensure high-quality images.
  • Radiation Safety: Utilize radiation protection and safety standards, applying ALARA principles to minimize exposure to patients, self, and others.
  • Assisting Physicians: Assist physicians in various imaging procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient care.
  • Contrast Media and Medications: Prepare and administer contrast media and/or medications within accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
  • Equipment and Supplies: Set up and provide equipment and supplies before, during, and after procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Associate's degree or higher in Science required upon hire, or Associate's degree or higher in a related field required upon hire.
  • Certifications: RT(R) - Registered as a Radiological Technologist in Radiology required upon hire, ROC - Radiation Operator Certification in the state of Kentucky required upon hire, and BLS - Certified as a Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider required within 90 days of employment in this position.
