Job Title: Heavy Equipment Shop Mechanic

Terex is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Shop Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Shop Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition and meets safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including truck-mounted aerial platforms, digger derricks, and cranes.
  • Inspect equipment to identify potential issues and take corrective action.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems to diagnose and repair problems.
  • Work with customers to understand their needs and provide solutions.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve business objectives.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2+ years of experience working with heavy machinery and/or utility equipment.
  • Basic set of mechanical tools (sockets, wrenches, and battery-operated impact gun).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar field.
  • Fluid Power Society certification (experience or knowledge).
  • Extensive knowledge of Terex products (e.g., Hi-Ranger, Telelect, Genie products or similar brands).
  • Ability to work in a team-based safety-focused workplace.
Work Environment:
  • Ability to stand on concrete for 8+ hours per shift.
  • Able to climb ladders and over and under vehicles.
  • Tolerable to heights.
