Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Night Shift Superintendent to join our team at Flatiron Construction. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of construction projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Supervise and coordinate the work of production and workforce engaged in assigned project tasks, ensuring compliance with contract drawings and specifications.
  • Work Planning: Plan work methods, materials, equipment needs, and work schedules for assigned project work, reviewing daily and weekly schedules with direct reports.
  • Site Safety: Identify hazardous areas on the job site, work with work crews, field engineers, and local utility companies to mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Technical Input: Provide technical input to identify and resolve project risks, including construction methods, work plans, and material requirements.
  • Documentation: Document daily activities and meeting notes using company-approved document methods.
  • Leadership: Supervise sub-contractor production and workforce, recommend work schedule or work method adjustments, and promote strict adherence to safety and process controls.
  • Close-Out Activities: Coordinate project close-out activities in line with company standards and owner checklist requirements.
Requirements
  • Experience: 8+ years of heavy civil construction experience and 5+ years of construction management experience.
  • Certifications: Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree a plus.
  • Skills: Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills, leadership capability, and expertise in specialized construction types.
