Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee the maintenance of the physical plant, including equipment, refrigeration, HVAC, plumbing, water treatment, and electrical systems.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve energy conservation and reduce controllable expenses.
  • Lead the emergency response team for all facility issues and ensure compliance with state, local, and federal regulations.
  • Supervise construction projects to ensure timely completion within budgetary guidelines.
  • Manage and control heat, light, and power expenses.
  • Develop and manage the Engineering budget.
  • Ensure integration of departmental goals in game plans.
  • Oversee the execution of long-term preventative maintenance and 10-year asset protection plans.
  • Review financial reports and statements to determine how Engineering is performing against budget.
  • Address potential areas of concern and propose solutions to owners in a proactive manner.
  • Communicate a clear and consistent message regarding departmental goals to produce desired results.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; 6 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing.
  • OR 2-year degree from an accredited university in Building and Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major; 4 years experience in the engineering and maintenance or related professional area; technical training in HVAC-R/Electrical/Plumbing.
What We Offer

Marriott Hotels offers a competitive salary range of $115,000 to $150,000 annually, a bonus program, comprehensive health care benefits, 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match, employee stock purchase plan at 15% discount, accrued paid time off (including sick leave where applicable), life insurance, group disability insurance, travel discounts, adoption assistance, paid parental leave, health savings account (except for positions based out of or performed in Hawaii), flexible spending accounts, tuition assistance, pre-tax commuter benefits, other life and work wellness benefits, and may include other incentives such as stock awards and deferred compensation plans.
