Daily Responsibilities:
Insight Global is seeking a GIS Field Technician for a prominent engineering client in the Atlanta, GA area.
As a member of the Joint Use/Fiber Make Ready Team, you will engage in on-site GIS data gathering and provide informed design recommendations based on your field observations.
- The role involves approximately 80% fieldwork.
This position serves as an excellent entry point into the electric distribution sector, offering a solid foundation for a career in power delivery.
Team members will utilize a measuring device to assess Joint Use attachment heights and utility-owned distribution lines.
Field data will be collected using proprietary software to enhance utility GIS systems and inform design decisions.
Travel will primarily be confined to the local client region, with occasional trips to other areas within Georgia, which may involve regular overnight stays.
Compensation:
Hourly rate ranges from $20 to $23.
Compensation may vary based on various factors, including skills, experience, and educational background.
Benefits for this position commence on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with options for HSA, FSA, and DCFSA accounts, as well as access to a 401k retirement plan with employer matching. Employees in this role are also eligible for paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as mandated by applicable laws.
