Job Title: Associate Project Engineer

Performance Contracting Group is a national employee-owned specialty contractor that offers quality services and products to the commercial, industrial, and non-residential construction markets.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate Project Engineer to join our team in Bakersfield, CA. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of project plans, managing project schedules, and ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct safety meetings and ensure compliance with company safety policies
  • Create and manage punch lists to ensure project completion
  • Support the Quality Control Measures outlined in the QA/QC program
  • Prepare RFI's and submittals to facilitate project communication
  • Labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
  • Quantitative takeoffs for material ordering
  • Support the implementation of the job schedule
  • Coordinate warranties and O&M's
  • Material coordination with purchase orders and invoicing
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or Construction Science, or comparable work experience
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
  • A clear understanding of how to read and understand specifications and drawings
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to learn new job skills by engaging in the technical aspects of the job and applying new skills as they are taught
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask
  • Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative
Preferred Requirements:
  • OSHA Certification
  • Willingness to travel/relocate based on project needs
