Job Summary
We're looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to assist high school students in researching, applying to, and enrolling in colleges that align with their goals. As a College Recruitment Advisor, you will work closely with students, families, and school counselors to provide guidance and support throughout the college application process.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one admissions and financial aid advice to students and families
- Develop comprehensive college timelines, including application deadlines and financial aid requirements
- Assist students in completing and submitting applications, scholarships, and financial aid forms
- Travel to high schools and other locations to perform advising and program work
- Organize group events to encourage students and families to consider college options
- Collaborate with local community groups and social-service providers to offer group events and community service hours
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an institution in the state of Texas
- No experience required
- Excellent communication, verbal, presentation, and leadership skills
- Ability to relate well with high school students and families
- Ability to solve complex problems and work independently
- Proficiency in word processing programs and spreadsheets
- Ability to work as a regional/off-site team member in a dynamic organization
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with high school students and families
- Experience working with admissions and financial aid
- Background in general office conditions with significant time spent working with high school students
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
