Job Summary

We're looking for a highly motivated and organized individual to assist high school students in researching, applying to, and enrolling in colleges that align with their goals. As a College Recruitment Advisor, you will work closely with students, families, and school counselors to provide guidance and support throughout the college application process.

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one admissions and financial aid advice to students and families
  • Develop comprehensive college timelines, including application deadlines and financial aid requirements
  • Assist students in completing and submitting applications, scholarships, and financial aid forms
  • Travel to high schools and other locations to perform advising and program work
  • Organize group events to encourage students and families to consider college options
  • Collaborate with local community groups and social-service providers to offer group events and community service hours

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an institution in the state of Texas
  • No experience required
  • Excellent communication, verbal, presentation, and leadership skills
  • Ability to relate well with high school students and families
  • Ability to solve complex problems and work independently
  • Proficiency in word processing programs and spreadsheets
  • Ability to work as a regional/off-site team member in a dynamic organization

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with high school students and families
  • Experience working with admissions and financial aid
  • Background in general office conditions with significant time spent working with high school students
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
