Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Deploy Secure VoIP Architectures: Develop and implement VoIP network architectures that meet DoD and Navy standards, ensuring the highest level of security and compliance.
  • Configure and Maintain Cisco Collaboration Solutions: Configure, deploy, and maintain Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Unity Connection, and Cisco IM & Presence, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Integrate VoIP Systems with Existing Infrastructure: Integrate VoIP systems with existing network infrastructure, ensuring seamless interoperability with other communication systems.
  • Perform Regular Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Perform regular maintenance, updates, and patches to VoIP systems to ensure optimal performance and security, and troubleshoot and resolve VoIP-related issues.
  • Provide Technical Support and Training: Provide technical support and training to end-users and IT staff on VoIP systems and features, ensuring they have the necessary skills to effectively use the technology.
  • Ensure Compliance with Security Protocols: Ensure Collaboration systems comply with DoD security protocols and Navy-specific communication requirements, and implement and maintain security measures to protect Collaboration communications.
  • Conduct Security Assessments and Audits: Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities, and create and maintain detailed documentation of Collaboration system configurations, network diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
  • Generate Reports and Analyze Performance: Generate reports on Collaboration system performance, usage, and security incidents, and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in VoIP engineering, with a focus on Cisco voice technologies.
  • Cisco VoIP Expertise: In-depth knowledge and experience of Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Unity Connection, Cisco IM & Presence, and related technologies.
  • Strong Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving Skills: Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Strong Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • US Citizenship and Secret Clearance: US citizenship and an active Secret clearance are required.
