Job Summary:

Professional Placement Services is seeking a highly detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to conduct inspections of small medical device components in a manufacturing setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of quality control principles and be able to utilize microscopes, vision systems, and various measuring instruments to ensure compliance with Work Instructions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections of small medical device components using microscopes, vision systems, and measuring instruments
  • Utilize quality control principles to ensure compliance with Work Instructions
  • Complete all relevant documentation associated with the inspection process
  • Proven experience with first article, in-process, and/or final inspections
  • Hands-on experience using microscopes and gages
  • Familiarity with CMM and comparators is preferred
  • Experience with SmartScope, FineScan, OGP, CT scanners, or other vision systems is advantageous
  • Previous experience in inspecting medical devices or aerospace components is preferred
  • Able to accurately read and interpret blueprints
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination for handling small parts
  • Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
  • Strong reading, writing, math, and computer skills
  • Ability to complete detailed paperwork with precision
  • A strong work ethic and high ethical standards
  • Good attendance record and ability to work efficiently towards achieving business goals

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of experience in quality control or a related field
  • Proven experience with quality control principles and procedures
  • Strong understanding of quality control software and systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
