Job Summary

At Somacis Inc, we're committed to excellence in Printed Circuit Board manufacturing. To achieve this goal, we need a dedicated Waste Treatment Operations Technician to oversee the safe handling and disposal of hazardous waste.

This role involves operating the waste treatment system, packaging and preparing waste for disposal, receiving incoming material, stocking, and performing monitoring and testing. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the operation and maintenance of Wet Lab equipment, prioritizing efficiency and safety.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with colleagues from different departments, including Production, Engineering, and Waste Treatment.
  • Conduct and record chemical analysis results using lab software, upholding accuracy standards.
  • Monitor chemical analysis data in SPC software, identifying trends and potential improvements.
  • Comply with all relevant regulations and company policies regarding hazardous waste management.
  • Coordinate weekend chemical additions to ensure uninterrupted production.
  • Negotiate and manage relationships with suppliers of test equipment to secure necessary services.
  • Develop and implement effective test methods and procedures based on process chemistry requirements.
  • Foster a culture of safety within the lab environment, promoting adherence to best practices.
  • Provide accurate documentation of test methods.
