Key Responsibilities- Assist with Patient Care: Provide physical care to patients, including procedures such as changing simple dressings, taking vital signs, administering enemas, and recording personal care provided.
- Prepare Patients for Examinations: Measure temperature, pulse, respiration, height, and weight, and assist in the examination process, recording findings in patient charts.
- Observe and Report: Observe patients' and families' conditions, mental states, and social behaviors, and report any concerns to the nursing team.
- Participate in Interdisciplinary Conferences: Participate in nursing and interdisciplinary health team conferences to assess and plan patient care programs.
- Assist with Recreational Activities: Participate in recreational and resocialization activities as part of the nursing care program.
- Maintain a Clean and Organized Environment: Change linens, make beds, and maintain clean and orderly wards, utility, and treatment rooms.
- Provide Postmortem Care: Provide care and support to patients and their families during the end-of-life process.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a nursing home setting.
- Certifications: NYS CNA Certification, AHA BLS Certification, and Primary Source Verification.
- Education: Graduate of an approved CNA program.
- Hours per Week: 40 hours per week, with the requirement to work every other weekend.
