Job Summary

We are looking for highly capable and motivated individuals to function as integral members of our team. The chosen candidate will be a key contributor to the design and development of Java-based applications.


Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in generating software design artifacts, implementing software changes, supporting design and code reviews, supporting software testing, and resolving issues arising from software testing.
  • Design and develop MATLAB-based algorithms within the Battle Management System.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or a related engineering field from an accredited college with at least 5 years of software development experience.

Desirable Skills
  • Experience in full life cycle software development of Java-based applications and systems.
  • Hands-on development experience for Java-based applications in a UNIX/Linux platform environment.
  • Experience developing software in a structured, process-based integrated team environment.
  • Experience with git/GitLab, eclipse, Maven/Gradle, SonarQube, and automated unit testing frameworks.
  • Understanding of standard system engineering design artifacts such as System requirements, Use Cases, and SysML diagrams.
  • Comfortable with mathematical algorithm development or translating mathematical algorithm design into software.
  • Working knowledge of Ballistic Missile Defense concepts, Battle Management and Command and Control (BM/C2) systems, defense communications systems, and the BMDS in general.
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, prepare and brief presentations to the customer as needed, and possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated and customer-oriented.

Security Clearance

Candidates must currently have and be able to maintain a minimum DoD SECRET level security clearance.
