We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Special Education Teacher to join our team at Soliant. As a Special Education Teacher, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse learning needs and developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to ensure their academic success.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Implement IEPs: Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to create and implement tailored education plans for students with special needs.
- Provide Direct Instruction and Support: Offer one-on-one instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs, adapting your teaching methods to meet their unique requirements.
- Monitor and Document Progress: Regularly assess student progress, adjusting instructional strategies as needed to ensure optimal learning outcomes.
- Foster a Positive Classroom Environment: Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth for all students.
- Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Certification: Valid Oregon Special Education certification.
- Experience: Minimum 1+ years of experience in special education, with a focus on autism and specific learning disabilities.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience with the Oregon Learning Environment and Educational Process (LEEP) program and strong knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.
- Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
