Job Description

NVIDIA is seeking a highly skilled and motivated system software engineer to join our Tegra system-on-chip (SOC) system software group.

We are passionate about pushing technology to its limits and fostering creativity in our team members.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring functional safety and security compliance for the system software stack used in automotive platforms.

You will collaborate closely with experts from adjacent domains in system software, hardware, and product owners to build innovative solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software for automotive systems firmware to meet product lifecycle requirements.
  • Ensure functional safety compliance (ISO26262) for the software.
  • Ensure the system software stack is compliant with security standard ISO21434.
  • Closely work with safety engineers and architects to build solutions.
  • Collaborate with the hardware team to review and craft functional safety compliant solutions.
  • Actively coordinate with multi-functional engineering teams to meet customer requirements and address complex issues effectively.
Requirements
  • BS or MS degree or equivalent experience in EE/CS/CE.
  • 3+ years of experience in embedded system software development for SoC products.
  • Excellent scripting skills, advanced Python programming, and debugging skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, good work ethics, team-work, dedication, and ownership for tasks assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good understanding of ARM architecture.
  • Jama REST APIs and automation.
  • Understanding and working with LLMs.

The base salary range is 148,000 USD - 276,000 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.

You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
