Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Backend Software Engineer to join our Middle Office Core Platform Organization. This team is responsible for the systems and services that deliver financial products to our clients through various digital channels. You will play a crucial role in developing and modernizing financial products and platform capabilities that serve millions of customers daily.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in technical discussions and contribute to design sessions, presenting ideas clearly.
  • Collaborate closely with team members in a fast-paced environment to drive product development.
  • Focus on delivering high-quality work to meet product release objectives.
  • Maintain code quality through best practices, unit testing, and automation.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of the product and its modules while becoming an expert in your assigned component.
  • Assist in designing interfaces and facilitating information exchange between modules.
  • Demonstrate advanced domain knowledge and a strong customer focus.
  • Write code that adheres to standards and fulfills the desired functionality using the selected technology.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related STEM fields.
  • 7-15 years of relevant professional experience, or 5 years with a master's degree, or 2 years with a PhD.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Design Patterns, and coding principles.
  • Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and various databases such as Oracle, MySQL, Sybase, and PostgreSQL.
  • Extensive experience in Java programming.
  • Familiarity with ServiceMesh, Containers, and Kubernetes technologies is preferred.
  • Experience in building cloud-based software using cloud and open-source technologies.
  • Expertise in creating scalable and highly available distributed systems.
  • Ability to assess application performance and optimize it through design and coding best practices.
  • Strong understanding of core data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience with public cloud services (AWS, Azure) is advantageous.
  • Experience in agile software development methodologies.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to articulate technical topics effectively.
  • Ability to communicate how technology solutions address customer challenges.
