We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team at the City of North Miami Beach, FL. As a key member of our Public Utility department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our residents and businesses.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to customer inquiries and resolve issues related to utility accounts, billing, and collections.
- Provide accurate and timely information to customers regarding their accounts, payments, and services.
- Process and manage customer accounts, including cancellations, establishes, and maintenance.
- Assist customers with payment applications, financial assistance agencies, and other account-related activities.
- Interpret billing information and apply appropriate procedures as needed.
- Perform complex case-related functions, including audits, reviews, and processing of accounts.
- Support supervisory functions by assisting in resolving staff or customer problems and scheduling, assigning, and prioritizing duties to employees.
- Provide excellent customer service and support through various communication channels, including phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Three (3) years of experience dealing with administrative matters, customer accounts, and utility service problems with practical skills in the use of personal computer applications.
- Associate's degree, trade school, or vocational training degree, diploma, or certificate that includes training or experience as described above plus one (1) year of experience dealing with customer service inquiries.
- Equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
- Valid Florida driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Bilingual - English & Spanish; able to read, write, and speak Spanish fluently.
