Conti Federal is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Safety and Health Officer to join our team. As a key member of our remedial construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and health of our employees, subcontractors, and visitors on site.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement site-specific safety plans, including Accident Prevention Plans (APPs) and Site Safety and Health Plans (SSHPs)
  • Conduct daily site walks and monitor weather conditions to ensure a safe working environment
  • Identify and mitigate potential hazards, including those related to excavation, stockpiling, and contaminated soil mixing
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including OSHA and EPA requirements
  • Provide training and coaching to employees and subcontractors on safety procedures and protocols
  • Investigate incidents and prepare reports to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
Requirements:
  • OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Training and 8-Hour HAZWOPER Refresher
  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Card
  • First Aid/CPR Provider certification
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in implementing safety and health programs at hazardous waste sites
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent communication and teamwork abilities
