Water/Wastewater Automation Integration Engineer

CLX Engineering is at the forefront of automation solutions, and we are seeking a skilled Integration Engineer II specializing in water and wastewater systems. This role is pivotal, allowing you to leverage your expertise in PLC systems while collaborating with a dedicated team of professionals.
This position is classified as salaried exempt and reports directly to the Manager of Controls Engineering. While you will primarily work independently, strong leadership and interpersonal skills are essential.
Please note that we are unable to provide sponsorship for work authorization visas.
Expect significant travel requirements, ranging from 40% to 85%, depending on project needs. Flexibility in working hours is necessary, as many client operations are limited to off-peak times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and engineer automated control solutions tailored to client specifications.
- Serve as the primary troubleshooter for electrical control systems, utilizing your wastewater experience.
- Provide on-site coding and programming support, ensuring hands-on involvement.
- Conduct training sessions to share your knowledge with emerging talent.
- Maintain and troubleshoot common PLC systems, including Allen Bradley and Siemens.
- Uphold CLX Engineering's core values and prioritize safety in all operations.
- Prepare for a work environment that may include extreme temperatures and physical challenges, requiring agility and endurance.
Qualifications:
- A degree in engineering, computer science, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficient in understanding complex applications quickly.
- Exceptional diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
- Advanced skills in PLC programming across IEC standard languages.
- Familiarity with major PLC hardware platforms, particularly Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Modicon, or GE.
- Experience with HMI software platforms.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD software.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in an industrial environment with potential exposure to heat, dirt, and noise.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools.
