The Anesthesia Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms. As a member of the Anesthesia Support Staff, this individual is responsible for assisting licensed anesthesia providers in the preparation and application of equipment and supplies required for anesthesia administration. This includes maintaining good patient care before, during, and after surgery, as well as transporting anesthesia equipment to other departments and within the O.R.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist licensed anesthesia providers in the acquisition, preparation, and application of equipment and supplies required for anesthesia administration.
• Perform cleaning, sterilizing, disinfecting, stocking, and ordering of routine anesthesia equipment and supplies.
• Maintain a thorough knowledge of anesthesia delivery systems, monitors, and ancillary devices.
• Possess and understand anatomy and physiology as it applies to anesthesia care.
• Demonstrate competency in the care of Neonate, Infant, Child, Adolescent, Adult, and Geriatric populations.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous work experience in an OR/Anesthesia setting is preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
• BLS Certification.
Work Schedule:
• Day Shift.
On Call:
• No On Call Required.
Weekends:
• Rotating Weekends.
Travel Required:
• No Travel Required.
