Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate invoices for various cost-reimbursement grants and service contracts on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure compliance with deadlines and financial reporting obligations throughout the duration of each grant or contract.
  • Maintain detailed records of grant and contract information using an Excel subsidiary ledger.
  • Reconcile and review all accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) transactions and activities.
  • Oversee the AR and AP aging details and summary schedules to guarantee accuracy and timeliness.
  • Monitor and allocate expenditures in line with approved grant agreements or contracts.
  • Collaborate with the Accountant and HR Manager to review and oversee payroll processing systems for accuracy and timely submission.
  • Prepare and maintain precise records and reports of payroll transactions.
  • Analyze and reconcile general ledger (GL) accounts during the monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
  • Assist the Finance Director in developing budget proposals and modifications.
  • Support annual tax and compliance reporting efforts.
  • Facilitate audits by providing necessary records and documentation to auditors.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in not-for-profit accounting.
  • Proficiency in QuickBooks is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with HRIS (Payroll) systems is preferred.
