This role is responsible for providing high-quality nutrition care to pediatric patients at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford. The Clinical Dietitian II will work closely with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement personalized nutrition plans that support the medical goals and objectives of each patient.
Key Responsibilities- Apply the Nutrition Care Process to assess, diagnose, and treat patients with complex nutritional needs.
- Develop and implement evidence-based nutrition interventions, including medical nutrition therapy and education.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and communication.
- Mentor and train junior dietitians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of nutrition protocols and patient education tools.
- Bachelor's degree in dietetics, foods and nutrition, or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of two years of experience in pediatric nutrition care.
- RD/RDN (Registered Dietitian/Nutritionist) credential issued by the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetics' Commission on Dietetic Registration.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
The Clinical Dietitian II will work in a dynamic and patient-centered environment, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care.
