Tier II Academic Interventionist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Academic Interventionist to join our team at Rockford Public Schools. As a key member of our Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) team, you will play a critical role in providing targeted support to students who require additional academic assistance.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with classroom teachers to identify students who require additional support and develop personalized learning plans.
- Provide small-group instruction and interventions to students in Tier 2 and Tier 3, utilizing evidence-based strategies and materials.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of individual students.
- Communicate with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress and involve them in the learning process.
- Participate in MTSS team meetings to discuss student progress and develop strategies for supporting students.
- Illinois teaching certificate
- 3-5 years of experience working within an MTSS framework
- Ability to analyze data and communicate trends effectively
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff
This position requires moderate in-district travel and occasional out-of-state travel. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
