About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at East Jefferson General Hospital, a part of LCMC Health. As an LPN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to our adult and geriatric patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct and indirect nursing care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Implement the nursing process to deliver patient care, including establishing priorities, recognizing and managing potential risks, and giving rationale for actions or decisions.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to identify actions to improve patient care and contribute to the development of a plan of care.
  • Facilitate continuity of care by initiating and maintaining interventions to ensure safe and effective care of patients, including medication management and patient education.
  • Delegate safely and appropriately to other team members to accomplish direct patient care and support activities based on acuity and complexity of activity.
Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing.
  • 1 year of experience as an LPN in an acute care setting.
  • Ability to work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and demonstrate problem recognition and management in response to data indicating potential risk to individual's health.
