Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Conference Services Manager to join our team at Compass Group, North America. As a key member of our support services team, you will be responsible for directing and overseeing the operational needs of the event setup department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish and annually review standards and work procedures for all staff.
  • Plan work and staffing schedules to ensure adequate services are rendered.
  • Participate in weekly one on one meetings with General Manager and monthly management meetings.
  • Assist in the hiring process, including interviewing, hiring, and training new associates.
  • Orient, develop, and supervise all supervisory and Move Team staff.
  • Conduct regular inspections and make recommendations to the facility.
  • Conduct monthly reporting of goals, accomplishments, and future planning.
  • Provide staff education and continuous training.
  • Create and facilitate monthly LPO's and JLA's.
  • Communicate with staff, administration, and other departments.
  • Attend and participate in weekly and monthly meetings to review unit finances, upcoming events, pre-planning and High-Level event coordination.
Requirements
  • 4 years of experience in support services, event setup, housekeeping, and/or facilities maintenance.
  • At least 1 year of supervisory experience in a support service-related field with high customer/client contact.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral formats.
  • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities.
  • Ability to maintain organization in a changing and stressful environment.
  • Exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility, and leadership.
  • Thorough knowledge of contract administration and office procedures.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet.
