Project Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at SK Food Group. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and supporting key projects from inception to completion at various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee assigned projects, including management of project resources, project budgets, and forecasting.
  • Ensure successful execution of all assigned projects, from concept to start-up.
  • Facilitate the project management process to help define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines.
  • Present reports defining project progress, problems, and solutions.
  • Ensure equipment, materials, and project results meet anticipated quality standards.
  • Identify areas for improvement and recommend real-time solutions.
  • Participate in budget management, including development and forecasting.
  • Assist in the design and layout of plants and manufacturing lines and in the assessment of new/modified equipment.
  • Ensure effective and timely communication to all project stakeholders, including contractors, corporate, and plant cross-functional teams and management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree.
  • Minimum of three years of project management experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in the food, beverage, dairy, and/or brewery industries is preferred.
  • Lean or Six Sigma Certification is preferred.
  • Possess a strong understanding of Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Demonstrated process orientation and ability to communicate effectively within project teams.
  • Ability to apply effective communication skills, both written and verbal, in all directions and to multiple levels of experience.
  • Ability to think outside the box and understand broad category needs.
  • Able to work in extreme heat and/or cold environments for extended periods.
  • Must possess a customer focus approach.
  • Ability to effectively drive for results that meet project timelines and deliverables.
  • Proven ability to negotiate effectively to produce positive results.
