Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Group Exercise Instructor to teach a variety of group exercise classes at our health and fitness managed centers and programs.

Responsibilities
  • Teach safe and engaging group exercise classes to members of all fitness levels
  • Supervise group exercise areas to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants
  • Demonstrate proper technique and modify movements to accommodate different fitness levels
  • Educate members on safe exercise techniques and provide guidance on proper form and technique
  • Implement proper rhythm, tempo, warm-up, and cool-down procedures to ensure a well-rounded exercise experience
  • Monitor heart rate intensity and provide feedback to participants
  • Adhere to departmental and club policies and procedures, as well as client policies and procedures
  • Assist in promoting and participating in external events and promotions
Requirements
  • National group exercise certification (ACE, NASM, NSCA, AFAA, or ACSM) or Aquila-approved certification
  • CPR certification
  • Related experience as applicable (for specialty classes only; i.e. dance, cycle, yoga, Pilates)
  • 0-1 year experience supervising adults during exercise
