Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Precision Hone Technician to join our team at Action Staffing Group. This entry-level role is crucial for ensuring that our production meets the required specifications and standards.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist in set-up processes under supervision.
  • Manage all aspects of part operation set-up to achieve first article acceptance as a Level I technician.
  • Conduct thorough in-process quality inspections and maintain accurate records.
  • As you gain experience, identify and suggest process enhancements to minimize part quality variation.
  • Perform additional related tasks as required.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience in a manufacturing setting or equivalent background.
  • Willingness to learn all phases of part operation set-up on various honing equipment.
  • CNC/Technology/Machinist trade school certification is advantageous.
  • Ability to utilize Air Indicators, Dial Bore Gages, Deltronic pins, profilometers, and plate inspection methods for precision machined parts.
  • Capability to maintain required finishes and close tolerances on I.D's, O.D's, roundness, perpendicularity, and concentricity.
  • Basic understanding of machine tool accuracies, size offsets, tool pressures, and necessary tooling.
  • Familiarity with cutting tool feeds, speeds, and optimal tool life for aerospace materials.
  • Ability to follow verbal instructions and interpret blueprints and quality standards in English.
  • Effective communication skills with colleagues and management.
  • Physical capability to lift up to 25 lbs. (more with assistance).
  • Ideal candidates will have experience with AS9100, 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Reliability is essential; punctuality and minimal unscheduled absences are expected.
  • Consistent work history is preferred.
  • Position available for 2nd Shift (3:30 PM - 12 AM) Monday through Friday.
