Position Summary

The Facilities Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in the upkeep and repair of our residential facilities and office spaces. Responsibilities include snow removal during winter months and assisting with landscaping tasks as required. This position also involves leading renovation projects in collaboration with other team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform maintenance and repairs on all agency properties, including:
  • Patching and Painting
  • Plumbing Services
  • Heating and Cooling Systems
  • Minor Appliance Repair
  • Basic Electrical Work
  • Carpentry Tasks
  • Conduct Home Reviews and Quarterly Preventive Maintenance
Qualifications:
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in building maintenance or construction, with proficiency in at least one of the specified trade areas preferred. Additional training in relevant trades is advantageous.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License is required.
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools necessary for maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to assess job requirements in terms of materials and time.
  • Capable of lifting up to 75 pounds independently.
  • Comfortable with climbing ladders.
  • Able to work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong reading and writing skills.
Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM (40 hours per week)
