Position Overview
The Quality Systems Engineer 2 role encompasses a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring product integrity and performance according to specifications. The incumbent will engage in activities that promote high reliability and compliance with product standards.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Facilitates the effective application of the Quality Management System across the organization, including all relevant quality certifications.
  2. Coordinates and oversees the Internal Audit Program at the site.
  3. Leads a cross-functional team of auditors in the capacity of "Lead Auditor".
  4. Conducts external audits.
  5. Evaluates audit findings and formulates appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
  6. Assesses the current and anticipated procedural requirements of the organization.
  7. Maintains and updates site procedural documentation.
  8. Supports the implementation of Group Business Management Systems (GBMS) requirements as applicable.
  9. Exhibits independent judgment and discretion in significant matters.
  10. Collects quality metrics for performance monitoring.
  11. Reports on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure adherence to processes and mitigate non-conformities.
  12. Assists other departments with Quality Compliance requirements.
  13. Manages the site’s Qpulse (Electronic Quality Management System) and provides assistance to other functional areas as needed.
  14. Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.
  15. Regular attendance is essential; may require working evenings, weekends, and additional hours as necessary.
Qualifications
Education: A post-secondary degree in Engineering or a relevant combination of education and experience that meets job expectations.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a related field.
Skills:
  1. In-depth knowledge of complex Quality Engineering processes and regulatory standards.
  2. Strong analytical and systematic problem-solving abilities.
  3. Advanced understanding of core engineering principles.
  4. Capability to interpret business challenges and propose enhancements to products, processes, or services.
  5. Ability to convey complex technical information clearly.
  6. Demonstrated analytical skills for proactive problem identification and resolution.
  7. Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills to ensure task completion.

This position involves access to information regulated by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All candidates must qualify as U.S. persons as defined by ITAR.
