Job Summary

This role is considered Hybrid. Reporting to the Director of Research Software Engineering, the Research and Early Development (ReDev) Systems Manager will be responsible for supporting Alnylam's ReDev colleagues' use of the ReDev Software Portfolio. The ReDev Software Portfolio consists of custom and commercial electronic laboratory notebook (ELN), laboratory information management system (LIMS), data capture systems, and scientific data and analysis platforms in support of pre-clinical lead discovery and regulatory filings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with Alnylam ReDev scientists to support and grow utilization of the ReDev Software Portfolio, understand and document existing processes, and implement and document findable, accessible, interoperable, and reusable (FAIR) data practices and lifecycles.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert supporting enhancements, software upgrades, implementations, and integration projects providing product expertise and testing across the ReDev Software Portfolio.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver ReDev Software Portfolio training.
  • Support day-to-day operational tasks such as account management, help requests, and other regular support tasks.
  • Drive employee engagement for Software Portfolio within ReDev with an emphasis on improving scientific data capturing while ease of use for these systems.
  • Establish and report on scientific software usage and performance benchmarks.
  • Work with partners across the organization including IT, Procurement, and Legal to optimally deliver the ReDev Software Portfolio.
  • Work with vendors to optimally deliver their licensed products.
  • Build deep, cross-functional relationships across the ReDev organization.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, computer science, or other related technology degree.
  • 6+ years of experience or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in ELN/LIMS use, implementation, and business analysis.
  • Strong familiarity with the drug discovery and development process and associated scientific workflows, including nonclinical study design and conduct.
  • Configuration of BioPharma Research ELN solutions and integration experience with other common systems and functions such as LIMS, registration systems, etc., is a plus.
  • Familiarity with Sapio, Pristima, or other ELN and LIMS solutions is a plus.
  • Familiarity with FAIR data practice and solutions is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and project.
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with electronic data capture software.
