We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Equipment Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for setting up, adjusting, performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining assigned equipment with responsibility for production and quality.

Responsibilities include:

  • Performing preventive maintenance and routine inspections on assigned conveyors, automation, robotics, and ancillary equipment as needed.
  • Troubleshooting assigned out-of-service equipment and correcting issues, serving as an escalation point for lower-level technicians, and escalating to leadership and/or more senior technicians as needed.
  • Documenting all work in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and ticketing systems as appropriate and maintaining accurate records of all operating logs for fire pumps, generators, HVAC equipment, and other facility systems that are tested on a routine basis.
  • Conducting root cause analysis of major downtime events.
  • Assisting maintenance mechanics in work requiring two people or when operational needs demand.
  • Performing facility/building project work as assigned, including tasks such as light bulb/ballast replacement, door repairs, furniture installation, ceiling tile replacement, carpentry duties, plumbing repairs, and maintaining operation logs.

As a Maintenance Equipment Specialist, you will also be responsible for analyzing and recording causes of production delays on daily production reports and initiating procedures to solve equipment malfunctions. You will examine defects and analyze spoilage causes, taking corrective action where possible and verifying that the corrective action has eliminated the problems.

To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent and three years of experience with conveyor, automation, or robotics equipment repair and maintenance. You should also possess fundamental knowledge of machinery/equipment and basic skills in multiple computer software packages, including Microsoft Excel.

Fundamental requirements include:

  • Able to frequently move, lift, carry supplies/equipment up to 50 lbs and may have to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Able to stand for a minimum of 8 hours and up to 12 hours for up to 6 days a week.
  • Ability to continuously ascend and descend from ladders and stairs, work at heights, and work from a lying down position.
  • Able to work with your hands above your head and willing to operate material handling equipment.
  • Willing to learn new equipment as it is brought online and ability to follow safety procedures, including Lock Out/Tag Out, Arc Flash, and use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Bonus qualifications include:

  • An associate's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, HVAC, or equivalent.
  • Graduation from an apprenticeship program or hold current trade certification.
  • At least three years of experience in a building maintenance position servicing a facility larger than 75,000 square feet.
