About the Role

Cortica is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join its dynamic team of healthcare professionals. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to children with neurodevelopmental differences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized speech and language treatment plans using standardized assessment tools.
  • Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to create comprehensive treatment plans and integrative strategies.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions, as well as co-treats with other disciplines as needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, documentation, and billing in accordance with federal and state regulations.
  • Design and implement play-based and goal-based interventions to develop receptive and expressive language skills, considering individual sensory processing, regulation, and motor differences.
  • Facilitate functional and stimulating experiences to target and achieve individualized goals.
  • Develop strategies and supports to help individuals engage in communication experiences across settings.
  • Collaborate with individuals and families to understand their values, interests, and goals.
  • Implement programming that considers all aspects of the child, including sensorimotor, cognitive, communicative, recreational, and social activities.
  • Contribute to program development and education of patients, families, team members, and caregivers on home programs that complement treatment.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Current licensure to practice as a Speech and Language Pathologist in the state of California.
  • Excellent clinical skills and ability to work in a multi-disciplinary setting.
  • Flexibility and openness to learning and working with a wide range of therapeutic approaches.
  • Passion for working with children and knowledge of HIPAA regulations to safeguard patient information.
  • Ability to occasionally stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, kneel, crouch, or crawl, with reasonable accommodations made for individuals with disabilities.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
