Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Support Specialist to join our team at Mountain Shadows Support Group in San Marcos. As a key member of our adult therapeutic day program, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with behavioral needs while providing vocational training opportunities and promoting socialization and community integration.

About the Role

The Mental Health Support Specialist will work directly with assigned clients under the supervision of the Program Director, providing supervision, training, and personal care at our program site. This is a site-based position that does not require travel or the use of a personal vehicle. The full-time schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am-4:30pm.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct support to clients with behavioral needs, including supervision, training, and personal care
  • Work collaboratively with the Program Director and other team members to develop and implement individualized plans for each client
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on client progress and outcomes
Requirements
  • 21 years of age or older
  • Valid California Driver's license and 3 years of satisfactory driving record
  • 6 months of experience working with individuals with behavioral needs
  • Currently Pro-Act certified or able to obtain certification within 3 months of hire
  • Able to pass a Drug/Alcohol screening, health screening, and TB test
  • Able to receive a criminal background clearance through the Department of Justice
