Key Responsibilities
  • Assess the influence of available resident information on the evaluation and treatment process.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify and diagnose communication challenges and necessary equipment.
  • Design and execute a personalized treatment plan based on initial evaluations, focusing on achievable functional objectives.
  • Adhere to evaluation, treatment, and documentation standards, ensuring timely and precise record-keeping.
  • Guide aides in appropriate practices and oversee their work in compliance with relevant state regulations.
  • Document progress in resident records after each therapy session.
  • Adjust treatment plans as required based on resident progress.
  • Provide a clear and concise discharge summary detailing the treatment course, following a specified format.
  • Introduce residents to program services and treatment protocols tailored to their individual needs, while informing them of any potential risks associated with procedures.
Qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Speech and Language Therapy.
  • Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuing education.
  • Valid state licensure in Speech Language Pathology.
