Laboratory Specialist

Millennium Health LLC is a specialty laboratory dedicated to medication monitoring and drug testing services. As a Specimen Collector, you will be part of our team providing exemplary care and exceptional customer service to patients, clinicians, and our laboratory.
The ideal candidate has 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ year of experience in the medical field directly supporting patients. A valid driver's license and demonstrated ability to navigate a smartphone and computer are required. Medical insurance/billing and/or familiarity with medications/diagnostic codes are a plus.
This role involves collecting patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens, processing and packaging collections or shipping, serving as an intermediary between practices/clinics and the laboratory, recording patient information, and resolving specimen concerns. The salary range for this position is $20-23/hour, dependent on qualifications, experience, and geographical location.
- Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid (saliva) specimens
- Process and package collections or shipping
- Serve as an intermediary between the practice / clinic and the laboratory
- Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information
- Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal
- Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite
