Philly's Paws & Claws is seeking dedicated individuals for our expanding pet care services. We specialize in various offerings including dog walking, pet sitting, dog daycare and boarding, as well as pet transportation and limited grooming services.
Position Details- Role: Dog Walker (primarily focused on neighborhood dog walking with additional earning potential at our local dog daycare).
- Schedule: This position is designed to be part-time, with most staff working between 15-25 hours weekly, depending on client needs and personal availability.
- Operational Hours: Our services are available from 8 AM to 7 PM for daycare and pet taxi, with dog walking from 7 AM to 10 PM. We prefer candidates who can work Monday through Friday and may assist on weekends.
Hourly Rate: $15 - $28 (New hires will start training at $15 per hour, with potential increases after 30 days based on performance. Experienced dog walkers typically earn between $20 and $28 per hour.)
Monthly Earnings: $500 - $2000 (New staff will begin with a limited schedule, but during peak times, some experienced team members earn over $2000 monthly.)

Dog Walking Duties:
- Transport pets to and from daycare, veterinary appointments, and client residences.
- Create a safe and enjoyable environment for pets in and around client homes.
- Adhere to client-specific care instructions, including any training preferences.
- Deliver exceptional customer service with a personal touch.
- Utilize a dedicated app for communication with staff and clients via a smartphone.
- Manage time effectively to ensure all tasks and visits are completed as scheduled.
Daycare Responsibilities:
- Maintain cleanliness in all animal areas, including inside and outside runs, cat areas, floors, dishes, and bedding.
- Feed animals and administer medications as needed.
- Monitor pet health and behavior, fostering a safe and welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist with bathing and light grooming of dogs visiting the daycare after training.
- Manage inventory of daycare supplies.
- Support clients and staff with the drop-off and pick-up of dogs at the daycare.
- Team-oriented, contributing positively to the overall team effort.
- Compassionate and humane treatment of all animals.
- Honest, patient, and enthusiastic about providing high-quality care for pets.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and time management.
- Previous experience with animals is a plus, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are equally important.
